What if there was an Augustus version of #TFIOS and just like “An Imperial Affliction”, it’d end mid-sentence? Oh, the feels! 😭😢😫
while taking a shower, i suddenly thought of Emma Stone… so, i did what every guy would do…
i sang pocketful of sunshine!
I GOT A POCKET, GOT A POCKETFUL OF SUNSHINE!
So, I’ve been doing nothing with my life and I’m bored so I decided to make a flash fiction! It’s a very short, I guess, snippet derived from the movie, Frozen. This is the “For The First Time In Forever(Reprise)” part but my flash fiction has a more dramatic tune to it. Happy reading! :D
Anna sings as she follows Elsa up the stairs then to a room of ice, “You don’t have to protect me, I’m not afraid. Please don’t shut me out again! Please don’t slam the door! You don’t have to keep your distance, anymore. Cause for the first time in forever, I finally understand! For the first time in forever, please, let me hold your hand.” Anna stands by the room door as she watches Elsa walk away from her.“We can face this problem together. You don’t have to live in fear. Cause for the first time in forever, I will be right here.”
Elsa sings as she turns to Anna, “Anna… Please go back home, away from me. Be the perfect girl they all want to see.” Elsa starts pacing around the room, still keeping her distance from Anna.“You mean well, but I care for you.” Suddenly, that one moment in their childhood when Elsa hits Anna in the head flashes back. “Yes, I’m alone, but I’m not hurting you. Just stay away and live your life anew.”
Anna looks down. Tears start falling from her eyes. “I’m offering you a helping hand,” she says, “but you’re driving me away?”
Elsa stops pacing. She walks towards the balcony of the room, then walks back and faces Anna, still keeping her distance. “Please, Anna. It’s for your own good.” She turns away from Anna.
Anna looks at Elsa, furious and desperate. “For my own good?! I grew up not knowing why my sister, my best friend, suddenly just didn’t want to be with me, anymore.” Her voice falters. “And this is supposed to be for my own good?!” She slowly walks towards Elsa. “I just want to be with my sister, Elsa! I just want someone to be here with me! I BURIED OUR PARENTS ALONE, ELSA! ALONE!”
Elsa tries to hold back her tears as she turns to Anna. “Do you think leaving you alone wasn’t hard for me too?! I wanted to open the door so many times every time you knock. But I didn’t; I couldn’t. I did it to protect you, Anna!” she says, as she bows her head. “I did it, not because I wanted to, but because I had to.”
Anna wipes her tears. “That’s why I’m telling you now, Elsa,” she says fanatically. “You don’t have to protect me anymore. You –no- we don’t have to be alone. I’ve always been here, and I will always be right here for you.” She walks closer to Elsa. “Please, Elsa, trust me.”
Elsa looks up to Anna. Anna tries to hold Elsa’s hand but Elsa rebuffs and turns away. “Anna, go home!” she mutters, her tears starts falling.
Anna starts to tear up, again. She looks at her sister, abandoned, left alone. She turns to the door, her hopes gone. “Maybe you do deserve to live in isolation,” she sighs, loud enough for Elsa to hear.
